2/16 Today is a D day
2/16-2/17 This is just a reminder to everyone that formal tickets will continue to be sold each morning in homeroom until February Break, so remember to bring in your money! The cost is $20 per ticket. Formal is on Saturday March 3rd and the theme is Hollywood/Red Carpet. Also a reminder to student council members to come get your envelopes and go to your homerooms each morning. Thanks!
2/16 Remember that the senior class portrait will be taken on Tuesday February 28th at 1:30 in the gallery. If you plan to buy the picture, you need to bring your money at that time. Forms will arrive in homeroom by the end of the week.
2/16 Hey Yearbook members! We have one more deadline coming up, so there is a mandatory meeting on Friday morning at 7:15am in the yearbook office. All members MUST attend!
2/16 Auditions for Children’s Theatre’s production of Peter Pan will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28th and Wednesday the 29th. This is for all 7-10th graders. No preparation is necessary. Any questions, please see Katie Rubery in homeroom 317 or Nora Hanna in homeroom 201.
2/16There will be Open Gyms for Softball tonight from 7 to 9pm and on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11:30am…please come out if you are interested in playing softball this Spring…Mercy will have modified, JV, and Varsity softball teams
2/16 Attention all students looking to participate in Spring Sports including Crew, Lacrosse, Softball and Track…parent recertification forms are due in the Nurse’s office upon your return from Winter break on Feb. 27…download the form or pick up a hard copy from the Nurse today…you will not be allowed to tryout until this form is completed and approved by the Nurse. NO EXCEPTIONS!
2/16 Attention all instrumental music students: this is a reminder that all instruments need to be brought home over break. Please make sure to pick-up your instruments immediately following dismissal on Friday. Have a wonderful break!

2/15 In honor of Valentine’s Week, the Friends of Rachel Club would like to challenge you to do a Random Act of Kindness each day this week. There will be some special hearts going around school to see how many people will be touched by our kindness. Have a great week and remember to start a chain reaction of kindness. It’s your name Mercy, keep it classy!!
SPORTS
The Mercy bowlers lost to Aquinas in the first round of their league tournament and faced North Star in a battle for second place. The Monarch's posted their highest score of the year, a 735 game to win easily over North Star. Tiara Gilmore's lifetime best 175 game helped her earn 2nd place out of approximately 60 participants in the individual handicap portion of the tournament. Certificates for placing on the league's first team all stars were awarded to Marisa Meisenzahl, Clare Delaney and Tiara Gilmore, while second team honors went to Therese Marchand, Julie Kremer and Catherine Catapano. The Monarchs will conclude their successful season at the Section 5 Tournament on Friday, February 17 at AMF Gates Lanes.
