Mercy Spirit Gala 2011

The Mercy Spirit Gala is a weekend filled with activities for Mercy parents, students, alumnae and friends to celebrate and support Our Lady of Mercy High School.

Festivities include the informal Friday Family Fun Night and the black-tie optional Saturday Spirit Gala. The event planning committee spends months preparing, determining the theme, creating the decorations, soliciting event sponsors, collecting ads for the Gala Program, and hosting Gift Gathering Parties. There are many Volunteer Opportunities, and all are welcome to help out!

Mercy Spirit Gala 2010, held on November 19th and 20tht was a great success! A record number of people turned out to enjoy Friday Family Fun Night coordinated by Nancy DiPasquale and Donna Graham. Saturday’s Spirit Gala dinner with silent and live auctions chaired by John and Leslie Jennings Glynn '81 and Jerry and Nancy Tirabassi was attended by more than 375 guests and raised more than $120,000 for Mercy. At the dinner Joseph & Brenda Shafer Calihan '56 were recognized with the Catherine McAuley Philanthropy and Vision Award, Karen Anderson Cavacos '85 was presented with the Sister Mary Francesca Award for Service to the Mercy Community, and Julie Spath Hetterich '80 was the Circle Honoree.
